About the Austin Celtic Association

The Austin Celtic Association was founded in January 1997 as a nonprofit organization to celebrate and promote Celtic culture through music, dance, theatre, language, sports, history, and the arts. Each year, the ACA holds a number of events in addition to a fundraiser for the annual Austin Celtic Festival.

Membership Year

The upcoming membership year runs from May 1, 2008 until April 30, 2009. There is no proration of the joining fee. All current memberships are due for renewal on April 30, 2008.

Please note that new memberships between March 13, 2008 and April 30, 2008 will be carried over until April 30, 2009. New members joining on or after March 13, 2009 will not br entitled to vote in the 2009 elections, but will be entitled to vote in the 2010 elections.

Members receive the following benefits:

Memberships last from May 1 of one year until April 30 of the following year. There is no proration of the joining fee at any point in the membership year. An individual membership now costs $10 and a lifetime membership $50. We have decided to cut all other categories of membership until further notice. If you haven’t already done so, please consider renewing your membership to the ACA. Benefits of membership are:

A vote in the annual ACA election;
Knowing that you are making a contribution towards the administrative costs of planning and organizing membership meetings and larger fundraising events;
Knowing that you are making a contribution towards the running of the association;
Reductions in the ticket price of some local Celtic events.

Annual Membership Dues

$10 Individual : Receive all the benefits above.

$50 Lifetime : Receive all the benefits above, and know that you are a grand supporter

All memberships, regardless of category, receive one vote in the ACA board elections.
