Volunteer for the Austin Celtic Festival!

Volunteer shifts usually run 5 hours and there are many aspects of the
festival in which you can be of assistance. The festival in 2008 will be
open from 11am to 7:45pm and volunteer schedules can start two
hours before the festival begins and two hours after the festival closes.
Some opportunities include Friday for setup duties.

Austin Celtic Festival volunteers receive the follow perks:

Work 3 to 5 hour shift

Work 5 hours or more

Below we have the following volunteer opportunities at the festival. Please email the coordinator for the particular opportunity you are
interested in and let them know if you can work Friday, Saturday or Sunday or both days. Some opportunities require certain skills but
most do not. You must be 18 years or older to volunteer and you will be asked not to drink alcohol during the course of your shifts.

Beer and Soda Booths: Saturday and Sunday *** SORRY, ALL OF THESE POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED***
Shifts run between 9am to 10pm both days
Beverage Director: Jay Hammers

Duties include setting up beer/water/soda area, selling beer, soda and water to audience.
Volunteers will split the tip jar with their shift workers and are required to check IDs and cannot indulge while on duty.

ACF Booth and Volunteer Check-in Booth: Saturday and Sunday *** SORRY, ALL OF THESE POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED***
Shifts run between 9am to 10pm both days
Merchandise Director: Deannie Hammers

Duties include: Cash handling and sell of ACF t-shirts and products and answer general questions from audience members.
Also pointing volunteers to their coordinators as they arrive and giving them their badges.

Stage Managers: Saturday and Sunday *** SORRY, ALL OF THESE POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED***
Shifts available 10:30a to 8:30p

Duties include: Helping bands load in, helping sound engineers setting up audience area for stage and keeping
stage and audience area clean.

Duties include: Cash handling and ticket sales.

Setup Crew: Friday

Dont miss any of the festival by volunteering the day before.
Duties include: Setting up small popup tents, unfolding chairs, posting signs and banners, general errands.
We have a professional crew that sets up large tents and staging, so you will not be required to perform any of those tasks.

This is a great job for someone who likes to keep active and doesnt want to sit in one place.
Duties include trash pickup and general gopher duties and should be able to fill in most of the other
volunteer areas if needed as a relief worker.

Vendor Area: Friday, Saturday and Sunday *** SORRY, ALL OF THESE POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED***
Shifts run between 7am to 4pm Friday and 7am to 10pm Saturday and Sunday

Help the director organize the setup, care and takedown of various craft vendors who will be selling product at the festival.
Help guide them in the right direction to their assigned areas, answer their questions, keep them on schedule with setup and takedown.
